As MindChamber just mentionned, your logo looks a lot like MaxGames', which is very bad for your credibility.
LOL! A $250 first prize? And you're putting limits on excessive violence and swearing?
You're not going to get any high quality games with that incentive. That's less than the standard sponsorship for a game on Armorgames or Kongregate.
And what is with people saying that there is total of $800 in prizes? There's no way to collect the whole purse, so what's the point?

usually the contests anounced around here give out more money,
but it seems like a great opportunity for unoticed game developers
to take the shot, cuz the "bigger" game developers will find the prizes too small
and wont try.
